Paige Hughesgood for congested pores/uneven textureSeptember 1, 2024I have combo-oily skin and have congested pores but almost never get an actual pimple and don’t suffer from skin sensitivity. After years of ignoring acne focused skincare (because I don’t get acne 🙃) I had the epiphany to change that and after a little bit of google research decided that azelaic acid succinc acid both sounded like ingredients that would be helpful for me. Enter this product.
I apply a pea sized amount after my HA toner and before my serums/moisturizer. When I apply it at night I can feel a gentle tingle that lets me know something is happening (it does not sting or burn my skin, but as I said I don’t have sensitive skin so patch test please because YMMV). When I use it in the AM I don’t notice that tingle and I’m sure it must have something to do with the spf and/or makeup I also wear 🤷♀️.
But let me tell you that in 2 uses I saw a noticeable difference in my skin texture and the congestion I was seeing in my pores. I never saw any redness or any other signs of a bad skin reaction but I also only use it 2-3x a week, so again YMMV. I plan to always keep some of this on hand to use as needed or once a week for maintenance. The only thing I really dislike is the size to price ratio. $30 is a lot for the small quantity you get, but also it *did* completely solve my skin texture problem in 1 week so… -
Carolyngood for acne-prone skinJune 11, 2024It is very good for acne-prone skin. After I applied it at night, I felt that it had changed a lot the next day and the redness reduction effect was also good.
